7 mos. and counting

Today I turned 7 months old. Human age equivalence is 9 years old. Momma and Dada were talking last night about the time when I reached sexual maturity. Momma said, she is nervous when the day comes that I will have my period, then I won't be a little puppy anymore. Dada says, that whatever happens I will always be their little star-star. Having a period makes me nervous but what can I do? I guess every female dog has to go through this process. It will happen anytime now 'til 3 months and then I will be having my surgery. Sigh* Oh well. I'll let you know when the time comes.

With the passing of time, I've already built up my strenght and improved tremendously with my motor skills. You should see how I jump up and down the couches. It's one my favorite obstacles especially when I missed going out for a walk or when I am all by myself and Momma and Dada is at work. Going up and down the stairs has really been so chicken for me. I can do it even faster than Momma and Dada can. I walk faster than Momma when we were out for a walk. She doesn't like it and insisted, she is the pack leader and that I should follow her and not the other way around...opps, excuse me! :-D

Momma also mentioned that she thinks that I've reached my full size. She has yet to measure me though. When it comes to eating, I've been so picky lately. I'm getting sick of Purina Puppy Chow! I want those food like what Momma is eating! Especially chicken! Chicken! Ruff! Chicken good! :) A ground chicken meat cooked in any way mixed with my Purina Puppy Chow is OK. But I still picked out some of the kibbles! :p

Until now, I still sleep at Momma and Dada's room. They've been wanting me to sleep with them in their bed but I like it better next to the Air Vent. Moving air helps me sleep better :-)

I'm an early riser! I tell you, Dada hits the snooze button for an hour, until he realizes he is late for work. Did I tell you that I don't need to whine for them to wake up and pick me up so I can go up their bed while waiting for them to wake up? I can just jump to their bed effortlessly! Then, I give them morning kisses and licks! That's the way I greet them and to tell them that they need to get up so I can go potty downstairs! But guess what? when Momma realizes that I am in their bed, she would hide under the sheets so I can't lick her...bad isn't she? Then, I go to Dada but he would whine and as usual thinks that my lips is icky! Poor Star will just lie down in the bed patiently looking at them, waiting 'til they wake up.
Well, most of the time, it's Momma who still picks me up and take me downstairs to do my thing. Dada takes his turn on weekends especially when Momma had to work.

I have also picked up the morning routine when Dada or Momma had to go to work. When Dada opens the door and picked up the coffee that Momma prepared for him every morning, I knew that he'd be leaving for work. We hug and kiss and exchange "I love you's". With Momma's work clothes, I can tell when I am supposed to be staying home or I can go with her for a walk or joy ride. If I am allowed to go with her she would say Let's go, let's go! Quickly, I'd run to her arms and she'd pick me up.

I went for a walk and jog with Moma this morning. Weather was nice and we did a good loop around the neighborhood. As soon as we got home, Mom started her laundry and mowed the yard! She did a good job according to Dada. Then in the afternoon she gave me a good bath.

Getting ready for a nice bath:

"Mom, I can't see and can't breath. should I just breath from my mouth?"

"Mom, are you almost done? I'm getting tired in here. I squat like a bird!"

Mom's finished product! Fluffy Puppy!

"Sweet Puppy Star! Thanks Mom! I felt fresh and clean"

Yay! Let's go down! It's play time!

Hey little one! Peek-a-boo!

Ok, that's all for today. I need a loooong nap. I'll see u in Shih Tzu Land!
