Something from Santa

Did you get something from Santa? I'm sure everyone received something from him. Christmas is my favorite holiday besides my birthday. Who doesn't enjoy the christmas decorations, lights, christmas tree's and gifts, the music and smell of the holiday? This was my second christmas and just like last year, Grandpa came over to celebrate christmas day with us.

Momma was busy cookin for food. She's running here and there to do errands while Dada was busy cleaning the carpet and taking care of small stuff.

The mini-me, sad to say was sick. I had upset stomach resulting to frequent bathroom visits. Nevertheless, I was still the same happy, lively little shihtzu waiting for the Grandpa by the door or checking if Momma or Dada did a great job on their assignments.

We had a nice dinner that night with Grandpa, they played with me and then watched a christmas movie until it was midnight. Momma started cooking again for the next day. When she was done, we opened some gifts. First, I opened the gifts from Cinnamon and Hershey. They got me a snowman and squirrel toys and a stockings full of rawhide bones. Yum! Dada, Momma and Grandpa also opened one gift each. Dada decided to open the rest of the gifts the next morning. So, we all went to bed with excitement on what else we are gonna get from Santa the next morning.
Finally, we all woke up past 10AM. Pretty late ha? I guess were all tired from last night. We had breakfast and then watched Walt Disney World parade on teevee. Before it was over, we all gathered infront of the gifts under the tree and opened the rest of our gifts.

Grandpa got me a box of cookie treat and a light blue sweater. He did a great job getting the right size. Maybe Aunt Kathy helped him.

Momma got me a musical christmas tree plush toy, a red sweater and a pink and blue coat that you can see me wearing in the side bar of my blog. I've been wearing it whenever we go for a walk and it really was a big help. I still feel cold you know, even if I have a lot of furr.

Dada, got me another plush toy from hallmark. He said I bit up my bestfriend so bad so he got me a new one. Later that afternoon, a friend of my Mom brought us gifts and food and guess what, I got out of the door and started running under the rain...into our yard, in our neighboor's yard and suddenly remembered about the geeses I often see near the ponds. I wondered if they are still there, so I run to the pond but they were nowhere to be found. Darn, I could have scared them running and flying and It would've been a blast for me. I still enjoyed it though. Momma was pissed that I did not listen to her calling me many times at the top of her lung. Dada came to the rescue, yelled at me and while I was there are the ponds looking for the gees, I realized I better go home 'coz the sweater that I was wearing from Grandpa got soaked and I smelled like a wet dog. Now Dada had to bathed me quick or the baby get sick. It was fun christmas, I'm sure we all will remember it.

Oh, just wanna let you know this is my fave photo with my Grandpa =)

Custard Anyone?

Hi, let me tell you something I did with my Mama and Dada today. All of us were kind of lazy the entire day. Both of them spent much time with the computer while the mini-me was taking a looong nap.

About 3PM when, I felt the urge to do my business so I came up and scratched Dada on his arms. That was to let him know I needed to go. He told me I could not go out to the grass because its wet so we went to the wee-wee pad. After I did my thing I saw Mama and Dada getting ready to go somewhere. I got excited when they guided me to our big truck...uhh...Dada said it's called SUV, whatever! Anyway, we went to this strip at Interstate 23 to get some drive-thru until they saw this Frozen Custard store. After they got the read food we went to the Custard store for dessert.

I was surprised when this drive-thru guy asked my Dada if I would like some treat. I was like ....wooahh! I don't know what's a custard taste like! But they got me a little treat anyway. It looks yummy but I did not mind it until we got home. Mama put it in a plate and I just looked at it for quite awhile.

...until I just found myself licking at the frozen custard non-stop! the next time Mama checked on the plate, the custard was gone! My oh my, that was my very first custard and it was oh-so-licious. It doesn't taste that sweet but its very cold and refreshing. I emptied the plate, leaving the cone that taste like a hard wood.

Momma, more custard plz?

Picture taken with Santa

This was yesterday's pictures taken with Santa Claus at Petsmart. I had to beg Momma to join with me because I freaked out as soon as I saw him. He looked like a nice guy though but his long beard just scares me plus the fact that he is such a huge dude! I don't know much about him but Dada said he only show's up on christmas with a gift-giving role, he is famed to be the friend of children and pets like me. I had picture with him last year at Pet Supplies and he even carried me, imagine that? I was just a puppy then so I don't remember much!

Vaccinating for Kennel Cough

I was due for Bordetella vaccine (kennel cough) today at Annehurts Clinic. It is similar to human cold flu. Symptoms are fever, swollen tonsils or lymph nodes and a deep, "honking" keep-you-and-the-dog-up-all-night cough that takes weeks to go away. But before that, we went to Petsmart for a Santa picture taking. I was all excited since Momma bathed me this morning until but I got scared when I saw Santa. He was an old man with very long beard. He wore red santa suite but no eyeglasses. I don't wanna go near him unless Momma will pose with me. It came with 2 polaroid photo's and 2 picture frame. $5 of if will go to the benefit of homeless dogs. Good idea right? Then we went shopping for winter coat. I will show you some photo next time with my coat and sweater on, ok?

We head out to the vet and I was told that I am in good shape. Doc wanted me to stay active and stay on my weight which is 13.6 lbs. She checked my heart, eyes and ears, teeth and then gave me a shot. Its painful but I took it with courage. And then she give me a nasal application. I was also given a heart worm tablets that will last a year. I will be back after 4 weeks for some booster. My parents were also adviced to get me a ladder to discourage me from jumping at high level. You see, in human age I am 17 years old now. We pretty much grow old very quick so they wanted to prevent back injury for me. Here's the much awaited photos of me today.

We are on our way to the Vet and as soon as we got there they took me into this big weighing machine and was told that my weight is just right - 13.6 lbs.

It's Winter Time

Yay! Did ya know we had snow today? Not really much though. It did not even covered the grass but it accumulated a little more in the sides of our driveway.

Momma took me out for a walk and then when we got home I get to play and eat the snow! wof wof wof!

ya ya! I ate the snow, I don't quite remember about snow since I was just just a baby last winter. I am loving it thoug. It does looked like one of those ice cubes that Momma and Dada are giving me...hehehe pant pant!

I am having a blast playing with the snow =) rufff! rufff!
Yes, I am guilty of eating the snow, so what? I had snow's all over my hair that were hardened. Momma had to wash it with warm water.
