Gone to the Vet

Sunny just got home from a vet visit. He's been having diarrhea for almost 3 weeks now. Other than that he is one happy puppy, he plays with me like nothing is wrong with him. At first mum and dad thought he only had some kind of stomach irritation, so they gave him pepcid-AC and then pepto after few days of no progress. We have been feed with Eukanuba Bites and Gravy and Chunk's in Gravy (included in the pet food recall) but mum slowed down giving it to us since she noticed that we don't care about it that much. She turned into Eukanuba dry food mixed with chiken white meat.

The other night, mum stumbled upon a news online about a Food Recall and Eukanuba is one of them. Dad called the vet right away and scheduled for appointment. They didn't have vacant slot until today @ 3:50PM. Mum stopped feeding us the dry food and switched us to boiled rice and chicken, and on occassion cottage cheese. Sunny's poo turned yellow-ish but still soft. The Vet found Sunny had infection after doing a fecal flotation. He is in medication at the moment - Drontal Plus (dewormer), Metronidazole (Flagyl) an antibiotic, he is also taking Bene-Bac pet gel, a source of live naturally occuring microorganisms. Hopefully he should be OK within 2 days.
Here are the Eukanuba included in the pet food recall:
(codes dates of 6339 through 7073 followed by plant code 4197).

In the meantime, dad is wondering if I should be taken to the vet too since I have also consumed those recalled foods. I don't have any kind of symptoms. No vomiting, diarrhea, lithargy or whatsoever. The only problem I have is....I don't really like to eat. Most of the time Mum have to beg me to eat....what do you think?

My favorite teevee program

Is....DOG WHISPERER by Cesar Millan from National Geographic! I love this show. I get to learn how to act and behave as a balance and well behaved dog. Although, sometimes I tend to forget everything when I really get soo excited, what can I say? I'm just a doggy ;-) I would love to be the pack leader all the time, but Dada told me its a big NO-NO. Him and Momma are the pack leader and when they go to work and I am left with Sunny, that's the time I became the pack leader but first I have to become balance first! This show helped Momma and Dada learn the psychology of dogs! Thanks Cesar! Your awesome =)
...that is Cesar Millan! he was talking about mastering the walk.

i hope to meet him in person, he is an awesome dog whisperer!

Learning to build a PC

Dada has just updated his pc lately and while he was working on it...my brother Sunny and I were there to learn how its being assembled. Its not easy! Lots of stuff inside that needs to be connected, something you have to do carefuly, make a mistake and it will never run.

sunny paying attention to every details...

watching very close...

...and while Dada is out to get something, I am making sure Sunny won't lay his paws in here!

Eyelash curler anyone?

I want you to listen what I say...okay? I'm the leader here!

Woff! woof! wondering what's new with the jay-oh-each--in-is-oh-in kids life? A lot of fun! Lotsss of playing like tug of war, rolling around, wrestling (they are the -gladiator's), play-biting and lots of chasing and teasing, running around the house, behind the couch, into the bed, up and down the stairs.
As for Star's potty train - nothing's changed. We've slowed down taking her and Sunny out for potty since winter started. Star showed preference in doing her business outside over the wee-wee pad but its just too cold lately. She seldom uses the wee-wee pad and she poop's just outside/near the wee-wee pad. Even if we pointed and showed her to do her business in the wee-wee pad, she just purposely do it her own, when somebody is not looking at her. She still thinks that her poo-poo's are freshly baked cookie or maybe in her little brain, she just wanna be of help to the Momma by getting rid of it her own.

Sunny on the other hand uses the wee-wee pad 95%! He actually listens and understands what he is being told. Very affectionate dog. When we call Star-star, he comes to us as if he's the one being called! And he would go lick/kiss our face like a thunder, very quick! Sunny gives a funny face expressions and he responces with our face expression as long as he is paying attention. Very different personality with Star but they get along pretty well esp. on play time.

Sunny is being called by Dada like Monkey and Piggy! Piggy because he likes to eat Star's food. These two have been feed with Eukanuba dry food - Small breed: Petite Race (Adult for Star, Puppy Chow for Sunny) mixed with boiled white chicken meat and occassional with rice. They've had Eukanuba: Chunks in Gravy before but have slowed down lately due to lack of interests. Star is very timid when it comes to meal time. We pretty much have to beg her to eat while Sunny is always there waiting and hangin' out in the kitchen while Momma is preparing for food. And when Star isn't there to eat her food, Sunny made sure it is being consumed and not wasted! No matter how much we say/yell him NO! he will gobble it up as fast as he can before we can get the food bowl away from him. When Star is eating, he patiently waits for the lefover. Star is slowly getting the idea that when the food is out she better eat it or she can wait for the next meal. She's been giving Sunny a hard time (growl) when he gets near her bowl.

One day, Momma went ambitious giving the kids some haircut - a bangs! She's decided that she is over with hair-do. Besides its always nice to see their pretty eyes. They will melt your heart when you see them smiling! Star's eyes and nose are rounded like buttons that makes her looked like a real stuffed dog while Sunny's eyes and nose are tiny but also very expressive. Oh, did you notice his long eyelash? They are very pretty.
Sunny had some kind of skin irritation a few weeks ago. He had some kind of scabs in between his nose and lip. Momma treated it with an ointment and later found out that is was gone but a fresh one is forming on his forehead. When she scratches the scabs, she saw the skin is red and inflamed. Momma washed it with 50-50 vinegar and water and treated with ointment. Now its gone BUT Momma found out Sunny's ears are smelly...ewww! Dada said told her that he is supposed to be smelly 'coz he is a guy! But the Momma didn't buy it so she washed it with the 50-50 water and vinegar solution and pulled excess hair. Still smelly so the next thing she use was a hydrogen peroxide. It seemed to do the job. A little smelly but not as bad as before.

Sunny loves to tease Star. He likes to jumped right infront of Star's face esp. when they are playing as if he was trying to test her patience. When Star is busy and ignors her, he would start to make out with her. Star on the other hand likes to tease Sunny when he is napping. Star would paw him and barked at the same time as if she's asking him to get up and play with her. Sunny would give her a big and angry growl and that will start the fight and they chase and made our house feels like an earthquake is going on!

Star can sometimes be over the top and when the Dada sensed it, he will tell them to stop and chill out.

Sunny just like Star loves the outside. He loves to go for a walk. When given a chance he would love to peek out so he can see what is going on outside. Tonight we went out for a little walk around the block and he didn't show any signs of reluctance. He just walk and follows where we go. Can't wait 'till it warms up a little bit for everyone to enjoy the walk.
We've been taking the kids with us on our little trips around the town or in any drive-thru's. Star as usual loves to be the co-pilot whereas Sunny is more of a luggage than a passenger :)
